This discussion board is for teachers and students who are considering involvement in the course of study and assessment examinations offered by the Carnegie Hall/Royal Conservatory of Music Achievement Program.
The program is available to developing musicians at all levels, and on all instruments. It fosters a higher level of teaching and encourages higher levels of musicianship. It is not a program just for the very gifted, or those who are considering going on to persue music as a career. It is for all who think that music is an important part of our culture, and that the ambition to become a competent and knowledgeable musician is a worthwhile endeavor.
Please help me in getting the discussion going. If you are new to the program, feel free to ask any questions you might have. I will do my best to provide you with answers. If you have experience with the program through either the National Music Certificate Program or the RCM Examinations in Canada, please post your thoughts and suggestions that might be helpful to the newcomers.
Thank you in advance for your contributions of curiosity, knowledge, and experience.
